My Survey Ends Affiliate Program

My Survey, my most favorite survey site, has just announced that they will no longer take members through affiliate links.

They write:
"Thank you for your participation in the MySurvey.com Affiliate program. We have enjoyed working with you to bring new members to MySurvey.com. It is our hope that the affiliate program has been a successful and rewarding experience for you as well. Over the past few years there have been many changes and advances in the internet and we have begun using a variety of new methods for finding new MySurvey.com members. At this time we have decided to focus on these new methods and will therefore be closing the MySurvey.com Affiliate program."

Despite this change, I am still very happy with My Survey. Over the years I've been a member, I've cashed out over $200.00. There are no long preliminary surveys only to be told that you don't qualify for the survey that actually pays money.

Year End Report- 2010 Online Income

The original purpose of this blog was to track whether I would be able to earn enough income online to sustain life. The big answer is, so far, no.

Earlier, I was reporting the amount earned every day, even though it was pennies. This took way too much time, and was impractical. But, for any faithful, or incidental, readers I may have I’d like to provide a year-end report of my efforts. It's long, but some of you have indicated that you are quite interested. So, here it all is... my successes and other attempts.

There are several categories of income included here: Online writing venues, pay-to-click, and other- mostly blog advertising. I’m not going to post proof of payments... You can either believe me or not, and I have no reason to make any of this up. I will make a few comments about each income source.

Total online income for 2010 is $2666.79. All in all, not bad, but not enough. If I were to write content for eight hours a day I could probably double that, but I would go stark raving mad at the tedium. I’m currently focusing on Shared Reviews, where I think I have the best chance of building significant residual income.

Highly recommended earning sites in green! Not recommended in pink! Your may or may not like in yellow.

Express Your Opinion and Earn at MySurvey.com

I have been a member of MySurvey.com for several years, and I really like the opportunity to express my opinion on various products or household practices. You won't get rich there, but over the years I have cashed out over $200. Most surveys are only worth a dime apiece and take about 10 minutes, but sometimes they qualify you for a longer survey worth $1.00 or more.

Some survey sites are looking for more specialized participants, but MySurvey will accept anyone who signs up. I receive notices of surveys around a rate of 2 per week, sometimes more, sometimes fewer. You do need to do them within a couple of days or they will expire.

You can invite friends to join MySurvey and get credits for them. Each time you complete a survey it also enters you into a contest drawing for more points, and every day that you log in you are entered in a daily drawing for points.

Points can be redeemed in cash, discounts on specific products or donated to a variety of charities.

It's really a no-hassle way to have some fun, voice your opinion, and earn a little bit while you are doing so.
